A former BJP MLA’s son allegedly rammed his luxury Lamborgini Huracan car on Saturday at around 7:30 am into a railing of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link , police said.
Officials have also said that the driver of the car, Taksheel, son of former Mira-Bhayander MLA Narendra Mehta was driving towards Worli when he lost control of his luxury vehicle and rammed it into the railing.
Taksheel sustained some burn injuries on his right hand, however no other person was injured in the accident, the official said.
He also said that following the accident, the car was taken to the police station by the Worli police to prevent traffic congestion on the route.
A case has been registered against the ex- BJP MLA’s son under sections 279 (rash driving) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code.
