Actress-model Giorgia Andriani has refuted Malaika Arora’s involvement in her breakup with Arbaaz Khan. Arbaaz and Giorgia were in a relationship for the last four years. Following Arbaaz and Malaika Arora’s divorce, the latter began dating actor Arjun Kapoor, while Arbaaz got in a relationship with Giorgia.
Arbaaz and Malaika had tied the knot in 1998. They were officially granted divorce in 2017. Despite their divorce, they continue to co-parent their son, Arhaan. In response to rumours blaming Malaika for Arbaaz’s breakup with Giorgia, the Italian actress-model told Hindustan Times, “There was no interference from her side, ever. She was not the reason behind us parting ways.”
Sharing the actual cause of their split, Giorgia said, “What I value in a relationship is having similar interests, but sadly we didn’t share any mutual interests, which was not favorable for our relationship,” she said and added, “For example, I am a whimsical person and I like to travel on a whim. If I’m free and I decide I want to go somewhere, I go. It didn’t feel right when he didn’t want the same things. Arbaaz loves to sit and watch movies and documentaries. I am very different, I can’t sit.”
Despite their breakup, Giorgia said that she and Arbaaz are on cordial terms. “After the breakup, people are bitter and they don’t have much to say to each other, but in our case, that’s not what it is. We still crack jokes, and I am still very fond of him. So yes, we are still in touch,” she said.
Arbaaz Khan is currently seen on Bigg Boss 17 as a co-host. Salman Khan takes on the hosting duties for the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes on both Friday and Saturday, while his brothers and fellow actors, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz, engage in playful banter with the contestants every Sunday.
