Payal Ghosh Wants to Be Mohammed Shami's Second Wife But On THIS Condition: 'Ready to Marry But...'

Actress-turned-politician Payal Ghosh has expressed her wish to marry Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami. However, she has one condition. Payal took to X, previously known as Twitter, to propose wedding to Shami after his impressive performance at the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023. For the unversed, he has taken 16 wickets in four games. This includes two five-wicket hauls. Following his impressive performance, Payal said she is ready to be his second wife but she wants him to improve his English.

“Shami Tum apna English sudharlo, I’m ready to marry you,” she posted. The post has gone viral. Shami is yet to react to the wedding proposal.

Who is Payal Ghosh?

For the unversed, Payal Ghosh is a 31-year-old actress who has been working in the film industry for a while now. She made her acting debut with the period film Sharpe’s Peril before working in Prayanam (Telugu). The film, which released in 2009, starred Manchu Manoj in the lead. She then signed the Telugu film Oosaravelli and starred opposite Jr NTR. She had also worked in Mr Rascal (Telugu) before turning towards Bollywood. She has also appeared in the hit TV show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.

Payal recently made headlines when she opened up about her mental health and its impact on her weight. Speaking with Hindustan Times last month, Payal said, “I have been through a lot of trauma due to various people and I have named them all in the past. With trauma comes anxiety and stress and you do a lot of things you don’t in general. It causes health issues. I indulged in panic eating and it resulted in weight gain. I am trying my best to be in the best shape possible but the trauma and damage can’t be cured. I am considering seeking professional help as it is getting difficult for me day by day.”

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami was previously married to Hasin Jahan. They were married since 2014 but ended up separating. They had an ugly divorce, with Hasin accusing Shami of marital infidelity, match-fixing, and domestic violence. The couple is now separated. They share a daughter whom they welcomed in 2015.
