Durga Puja festivities have kickstarted in full swing and Bollywood stars are leaving no stone unturned to partake in the celebrations. The fervour and excitement can be seen among celebrities as they throng to the Puja pandals to take part in the festivities. Recently, Rani Mukerji was spotted at a Durga Puja pandal on Sunday in Mumbai where she performed the Dhununchi dance with cousin Tanishaa Mukerji.

In a video, Rani was seen dressed in a muted gold saree as she held on to a Dhununchi and performed the traditional prayer dance. Behind her, Kajol’s younger sister and Rani’s cousin Tanishaa was also seen performing the dance in a pink lehenga choli. She left her hair open, framing her face perfectly, as she completed her look with minimal accessories. However, Kajol was seemingly absent from the festivities.

Before this, the actress was also spotted arriving at a pandal on Saturday in a golden saree where she was seen making a video of the magnificent Goddess Durga idol. For this appearance, Rani tied her hair in a stunning updo and wore a statement orange and maroon necklace to finish her look.

Rani is not the only Bollywood star soaked in the Pujo fever. Several videos of Kajol and Sushmita Sen from the Durga Pujo pandals have also surfaced online showing the actresses performing pujas. Earlier, a video of Sushmita Sen performing Dhununchi dance with her elder daughter Renee went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji was most recently seen in Ashima Chibber’s legal drama film Mrs Chatterjee vs. Norway. The film, which also stars Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta and Jim Sarbh, is based on the true incident of an Indian couple whose children were forcefully taken away by Norwegian authorities in 2011. The film was loved by critics and audiences alike.
