Salman Khan Says Alizeh Agnihotri's Farrey Was Originally Planned For OTT: 'After I Saw the Film...'

Salman Khan’s niece, Alizeh Agnihotri, is all set to make her film debut, in a thriller titled Farrey. Directed by Somendra Padhi who had earlier helmed Jamtara, it also features Class-fame Zeyn Shaw, Prasanna Bisht, and Sahil Mehta. The trailer which was unveiled on Wednesday scratches the surface of exams, cheating, and the consequences.

The entire Khan family including Salman Khan, Alizeh’s parents Alvira and Atul Agnihotri, Sohail Khan, and Arpita Khan with husband Ayush Sharma were present.

Talking at the trailer launch, Salman who has also co-produced the film said that the film which is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 24, was initially going to be a straight OTT release. “I really like the script of Farrey and it was originally supposed to release the film on OTT. After I saw the final film, I was really impressed and I told Alvira (his sister) that this film should be released in theatres. That’s when we discussed and decided on a theatrical release. The credit for making such a good film has to go to the director.”

Salman adds that films like Farrey aren’t really being made, “It’s very rare that we see films being made in this genre and for a certain group of audience. I feel the film will connect with common people, especially the students who should go and watch the film.”

Alizeh, who is making her big screen debut agreed that she is nervous about her first outing, “I am a human and of course, I am feeling the pressure. It’s a stressful situation to say the right thing, wear the right clothes and do the right thing but at the same time, I am very happy that the film is coming out. So their feeling is oscillating between being stressful and being happy.”
