Shah Rukh Khan delivered a moving speech at the Jawan success press conference. The superstar, who was joined by Jawan director Atlee and co-stars Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi, took the centre stage to talk about Jawan. While the team revealed a number of details about the film, an emotional SRK brought the night to an end with a powerful speech about what he believes Jawan, the film, is to him and his team. Shah Rukh said that Jawan is ‘the feeling every Indian’ has.
“I’ll tell you what Jawan is to all of us… I think Jawan is a feeling that every Indian has. I think Jawan is an emotion. Jawan is an Indian soldier. Jawan is an Indian mother. Jawan is an Indian girl. Jawan is an Indian vigilante. You have to understand that Jawan many times is very weak because it is all of us, and many times he is ready for a fight,” Shah Rukh Khan said.
“Jawan is many times wrong, but many times he is also right. Jawan sometimes will live in the darkness, sometimes Jawan will be the one emanating the light. And finally, all of us, the entire India is Jawan who is upright. Please remember that, honestly, goodness and love that’s what Jawan stands for,” the superstar added.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan stars Shah Rukh Khan in a double role. The film also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone in a special role. The film has hit jackpot at the box office. On its day 9 at the box office, Jawan minted be Rs 410.88 crore, making the film cross the historic milestone of ₹400 crore in a week.
Atlee confirmed that Jawan’s budget was over Rs 300 crores. “I narrated the film on a Zoom call during Covid times. I know theatrical footfall was going down and people were not ready to greenlight even a 30-40 crore film. I know because I am also a producer. But sir [Shah Rukh Khan] greenlighted a Rs 300 cr film when everyone was skeptical. But we didn’t stop at Rs 300 cr. We went more. We made a blockbuster in three days and now, we are flying,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh also confirmed that Dunki is on track and will release on the occasion of Christmas.
