Zindagi Naa Milega Dobara, starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol, is considered one of the most special films among the masses. The 2011 film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, left an indelible mark on fans as it captured hearts with its story of friendship, self-discovery, and adventure. Today, Farhan Akhtar dropped a photo, giving a major hint about Zindagi Naa Milega Dobara 2 being in the making. However, nothing has been made official yet.
Now, Abhay Deol dismissed the plan and revealed that it was just a part of a joke. The actor took to his Instagram and shared a poster where he revealed that the plan for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara part 2 is just a part of a joke. Sharing a popular meme template that has become popular over the years, with pictures of Hrithik, he wrote, “Telling me we are making ZNMD 2. Then saying it was just a joke! Is Not Funny!” Take a look:
Fans, however, aren’t happy. Playing on the meme, one user wrote, “Imraan ka post pe caption dalna was not funny”, while another wrote, “Don’t do this, don’t give us hopes”. Some said that the film that has earned a cult status among Bollywood fans, should not be ruined with a sequel. “Do not ruin the cult movie, please. Moreover if the makers have decided so, then cast should remain the same, “my bowys the mentally the sick”! Another echoed similar sentiments and wrote, “Nah it’s okay. I don’t want it to ruin the first one.”
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara revolved around three friends on a road trip and performing daring activities picked by each friend. This included participating in the Tomatina festival, skydiving, scuba diving and taking part in the running of the bulls. The film was a massive hit.
