The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, will conclude the online application process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 today, September 20 at 5 pm. Candidates can register for the B-school admission test by visiting the official website at iimcat.ac.in. As per the schedule, the Common Admission Test will be conducted on November 26. The result is anticipated to be released by the second week of January 2024.

“Deadline for CAT 2023 Registration and Forms Submission has been extended to 20th September 2023,” read the official website. The online registration process for the CAT 2023 exam started on August 2. Nearly a month prior to the exam, the Institute will release the admit card for candidates on October 25.

CAT 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the CAT 2023 must possess a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50 per cent marks or its equivalent CGPA awarded by any recognised university or educational institution. The minimum mark required for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) students is 45 per cent.

Furthermore, students appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree or its equivalent qualification exam as well as those who have completed their degree and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the exam.

CAT 2023: How To Apply

Step 1: Go to the official website of CAT 2023 at iimcat.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘CAT 2023 Registration’ link.

Step 3: Candidates need to register themselves first then, then fill out the CAT 2023 application form.

Step 4: Remember to select the test cities of your choice from the available options.

Step 5: To complete the process, upload all the documents required and make the mandatory payment.

Step 6: Crosscheck all the details and submit the CAT 2023 application form.

CAT 2023: Application Fee

For general category candidates, the application fee is Rs 2,400. Whereas, SC, ST, and PwD category candidates need to pay Rs 1,200.

The CAT 2023 admission process will include three rounds. The first is a Written Ability Test (WAT), the second is a Group Discussion (GD), and the final stage is the Personal Interview (PI). The written exam will be divided into three parts — Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. Candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the exam, with 40 minutes given for answering questions in each segment.
