Gyanvapi Mosque Case: ASI Survey Report to Be Made Public; Both Sides to Receive Hard Copy
An ASI official said that the report will likely be given tomorrow (Thursday). "Prathrna patra cannot be filed after 12 pm," the official added

The Archaeological Survey of India’s (ASI) report on Gyanvapi Mosque will be made public and its access will be provided to both Hindu and Muslim sides.

Speaking to CNN-News18 Advocate Hari Shankar Jain, from the Hindu side, said “We are very fortunate to get the copy of the ASI survey,” adding that by today or Thursday both the sides will get the report’s copy.

“Everybody should know what is there in the ASI survey,” he added.

Hari Shankar Jain noted that as per the Court’s directions both the parties will be given a hard copy of the report.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side, was quoted by ANI as saying, “Today, the court heard both sides and a consensus was reached that the hard copy of the ASI’s report will be provided to both sides…The ASI objected to providing the report via email. So, both sides agreed to get the hard copy of the report.”

“As soon as the court passes the order, our legal team will apply for the certified copy,” he added.

An ASI official said that the report will likely be given tomorrow (Thursday). “Prathrna patra cannot be filed after 12 pm,” the official added.

“There is no gag order that the copy cannot be shared with the public,” Hari Shankar Jain said.

Jain said he was “sure” that the report would confirm that it was a temple and that a “temple should be built there”.

A petitioner in the Gyanvapi case — Sita Sahu — speaking to CNN-News18 said that the “truth will come out”.

Meanwhile, SM Yaseen, joint secretary of the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee said that the “court’s order is above all”.

“Whatever we wanted to save could not be done,” Yaseen said, adding that, “let the report be made public now, then we will decide what to do next”.

Raees Ahmed, a lawyer for the Muslim side in the Gyanvapi case said the courtside hard copies of the ASI survey should be given to both parties.
