Woman Claims She Got Duped of Rs 56K Trying to Buy World Cup 2023 Final Ticket From 'Scammer'
Woman shares she got scammed of Rs. 56,000 trying to buy World Cup tickets. Here is what happened.

Online scams these days have become really common. In another such incident, a woman took to ‘X’ and shared how she got duped by another woman for an amount of Rs 56,000. It all started from ‘X’ itself when she saw a post of this girl who wanted to sell tickets. “And after having a conversation with her, I thought she was genuine. I went ahead with exchanging numbers and paying a huge amount of money for these tickets which aren’t even worth so much ( I found out later on ),” the ‘X’ user wrote.

The woman mentioned that she blindly believed that these tickets were of a good block and hence justified the price. However, it was her friend who found out that these tickets were fake and it was all over the internet. “At that moment my heart broke. She’s now blocked me everywhere,” the woman explained.

As of now, the woman cannot find her ‘X’ account anymore. “I’m going to be heading to the police and try getting my money back. Please make sure you don’t fall for such scams,” she wrote.

With this, she shared screenshots of the conversation that she had with the scammer. Here, have a look for yourself:

And how rich can your parents be that you didn’t feel any guilt/concern before sending 56k to a random stranger on twitter without any proof of her existence,” commented an ‘X’ user. Another person wrote, “My parents will disown me if they find out I paid 56K for a ticket.”

Many people also speculated if the screenshots are real. “Why are people trying to make fake scam stories??” commented an ‘X’ user.

Meanwhile, earlier, a Delhi based journalist was allegedly scammed after he met a woman on a dating app and went on a date with her. He paid a bill of over Rs. 15,000 at one of the restaurants in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden. The journalist alleged that he was approached by a girl on Bumble and asked to meet at Rajouri Garden. He agreed to The woman then took him to a bar and ordered a few drinks for herself after which he received a bill of Rs. 15,886. ‘X’ user Archit Gupta took to the micro blogging site and shared that after he paid the bill, the woman left the bar claiming that she was going with her brother and was not reachable after that. The journalist then understood that he was scammed by the girl.
