New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah is likely to announce party's Parliamentary Board and National Executive on Sunday. The National Executive is expected to be trimmed.

The announcement comes a day after Shah announced his new team of 11 vice presidents and eight general secretaries. Seven members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were given key posts.

Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa was made one of the party's new vice presidents.

In a surprise move, Sultanpur MP Varun Gandhi was dropped from the post of party's general secretary.

The big challenge for the new party president will be the elections to the four state assemblies of Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir which are due in the next few months.
