3. Baikunthpur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Korba Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Baikunthpur falls in Koria district and North region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,59,564 voters in the seat, which includes 80,548 male voters, and 79,013 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Baikunthpur recorded a voter turnout of 81.18%. In 2013 the turnout was 79.79%, and in 2008 it was 68.92%.
In 2013, Bhaiyalal Rajwade of BJP won the seat by a margin of 1,069 votes (0.93%). Bhaiyalal Rajwade secured 39.39% of the total votes polled.
