New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is gone from BJP's parliamentary board and the party is calling it a “natural process.”

Validating the new-set up under the party’s new Chief Rajnath Singh, party spokesman Prakash Javadekar explained that experienced and elderly leaders have to make way for new people in the BJP.

On Monday, Singh announced the much-awaited BJP reshuffle and declared that Modi been dropped from the Central Parliamentary Board, while replacing General Secretary Sanjay Joshi (Organisation) with Ramlal Agarwal.

Party General Secretary Arun Jaitley, the party's prominent media face, was also removed from the spokesman post.

"This all is a process of change," PTI quoted Javadekar as saying.

Modi was also dropped from the party's Central Eelection Committee, which had some new entrants like Delhi's Vijay Kumar Malhotra.

The BJP’s Central Parliamentary Board is not an all-powerful organisation but it decides a lot of things when it comes selecting candidates for elections.

The Board decides the nominees for Assembly elections and in a Lok Sabha by-poll it decides a lot of issues.
