The SC will take up CBI's latest status report filed on October 22 in the coal blocks allocation case.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday will take up CBI's latest status report filed on October 22 in the coal blocks allocation case.
The CBI in its latest status report had apprised the court of the 14th FIR against Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and former coal secretary PC Parakh.
The FIR had raised questions on the Prime Minister's alleged assent on the coal blocks allotted to Hindalco in 2005, which the CBI claims was out of turn.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on whether the apex court will make any recommendation on the need for the CBI to record the PM's statement.
The Supreme Court had also issued notices to several coal mining states to explain their allocation policies by Tuesday.
