Bareilly: BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti on Saturday alleged the Centre was not serious about the Jan Lokpal issue and was only passing time so that Anna Hazare could be arrested.
Talking to reporters, she alleged the Congress was creating an atmosphere so that law and order was affected and Hazare could be arrested on this pretext.
Bharti said before Hazare's campaign and fast started one of the Congress leaders had already said it would meet the same fate as that of Baba Ramdev's.
The BJP leader said "no final draft is ready between between team Anna and the Congress government."
She said Hazare's campaign had created awareness among the people and the Centre should immediately pass a resolution incorporating the views of the Gandhian.
