Delhi HC asks CBI to file status report on case against HP CM
Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that this is an open and shut case of disproportionate assets and illegal wrongdoing by Virbhadra Singh.

New Delhi: An NGO Common Cause has filed a petition against alleged corruption, money laundering, disproportionate assets of former union steel minister and currently the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh. Advocate and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan, who is appearing for the petitioner, submitted that this is an open and shut case of disproportionate assets and illegal wrongdoing by Virbhadra Singh, former union minister and current CM of HP.

The Delhi High Court has asked the CBI to file its status report.

Bhushan said that despite their complaint of January 2013, no action has been taken by CBI. At this, the CBI counsel said that they have received the complaint and are already investigating the case.

Then the CJ bench of Delhi HC asked the CBI to file their status reports within six weeks and posted the matter for February 2014.
