Chennai:Chennai: DMK leader MK satlin on Wednesday met Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar accusing J Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK of bribing the voters. "AIADMK has been distributing cash for the past 3 days due to fear of losing. AIADMK is giving Rs 3000 per vote," said Stalin.
"Imposition of Section 144 is aiding distribution of cash by ruling party but other party cadres are being prevented from stopping this," he added.
He also said that official are hesitating to act against AIADMK workers. "If EC itself is behaving in a biased manner (then) we do not know who will stop this. The CEO has said that he will look into it and take necessary action but we are not convinced," he said.
Stalin added that his party will take the matter to Madras High Court.
