2. Ganganagar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Ganganagar (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Ganganagar falls in Ganganagar district and North region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a urban seat.

There are a total of 2,17,593 voters in the seat, which includes 1,13,585 male voters, and 1,04,008 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Ganganagar recorded a voter turnout of 75.63%. In 2013 the turnout was 82.38%, and in 2008 it was 70.8%.

In 2013, Kamini Jindal of nuzp won the seat by a margin of 37,068 votes (24.6%). Kamini Jindal secured 51.67% of the total votes polled.

BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 12,044 votes (10.2%), registering 41.05% of the total votes polled.
