Panaji: Addressing his first public meeting after taking oath of the office, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday said that zero tolerance towards corruption would be the main agenda of BJP-led government.
"Whatever promises that were made in the election manifesto would be fulfilled. I don't have a magic wand. I may take a little time," Parrikar told a gathering of around 5,000 people at the swearing-in function.
"Zero tolerance towards corruption will be main agenda of the government," he said, in the presence of senior BJP leaders including L K Advani, party chief Nitin Gadkari, Venkaiah Naidu, Sushma Swaraj, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Ravi Shankar Prasad and others.
"Youths will not have to cross the boundary of state for employment, or bribe anyone to get government jobs," he assured, adding that "bribe for a government job would be a history".
