13. Gohad is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Bhind (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Gohad falls in Bhind district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,18,774 voters in the seat, which includes 1,20,889 male voters, and 97,880 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Gohad recorded a voter turnout of 59.32%. In 2013 the turnout was 59.15%, and in 2008 it was 55.17%.
In 2013, Lal Singh Arya of BJP won the seat by a margin of 19,814 votes (17.49%). Lal Singh Arya secured 45.65% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 1,553 votes (1.7%), registering 30.37% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Gohad Assembly segment of the Bhind (SC) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
