CBI sources say PP Pande will be declared an absconder if he doesn't join its investigations soon.
Ahmedabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday moved for attachment of property of Additional DG Gujarat PP Pande in the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case. CBI sources said that Pande had not joined its probe despite repeated attempts by investigation agency.
The sources said the CBI will declare Pande an absconder if he didn't join its investigations soon.
The CBI already has an arrest warrant from court against Pande. Earlier this month, the CBI moved its teams to Uttar Pradesh on a tip off to arrest Pande.
CBI sources said that he was key to unfolding the mystery surrounding the case. The teams interrogated Pande's family and friends to know about his whereabouts, sources said.
