New Delhi: The Congress on Saturday slammed activist-politician Arvind Kejriwal saying he is only interested in defaming people by levelling charges of financial wrongdoing.

"By levelling allegations before the media he can only defame somebody but cannot get anything substantial out of it. This shows that he is only interested in defaming people," Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi said. Alvi said that if Kejriwal had any evidence he should go to the government or any government agency.

"If anybody has done anything wrong, law will take its own course," he said. Kejriwal on Friday accused industrialists Mukesh and Anil Ambani, Jet Airways chief Naresh Goyal, Congress MP Annu Tandon and several other Indians held accounts in HSBC Bank's Geneva branch. The bank and all of those targeted by Kejriwal have denied any wrongdoing.
