New Delhi: The Lok Sabha is likely to discuss the Communal Violence Bill on Tuesday and all eyes will be set on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi who had stormed the well of the House last week over the issue.
The Lower House has listed a discussion on rising incidents of communal violence after Congress MPs led by Rahul protested at the well of the House last Wednesday.
Rahul, who stormed the well in the Lok Sabha, had said Opposition was not being allowed to speak in Parliament and "it is completely one-sided, partiality", comments seen as raising questions on the Speaker.
"There is a mood in Parliament that only one man's voice counts for anything in this country.... The Speaker, I mean.... It is completely one-sided, partiality. That's what we are raising," he had said.
Ahead of the discussion on communal riots in the country, Rahul has stepped up the attack on the BJP saying that the party deliberately engineered communal tension in Uttar Pradesh.
He said, "Communal conflict is being artificially and deliberately engineered in our country, especially in Uttar Pradesh. This is a deliberate strategy to divide the poor of this country and put brother against brother, to prevent people from uniting to fight the true enemy - inequality, poverty and lack of opportunity."
