Jammu: The BJP on Sunday accused the Jammu and Kashmir government of taking "anti-people and anti-youth decisions" and said the recent employment policy was a cruel joke with the educated unemployed youth.
"The Chief Minister, Omar, instead of solving problems is complicating them, and inviting public resentment by making controversial statements and taking anti-people and anti-youth decisions," BJP state president Shamsher Singh Salathia said at a public function.
The recent employment policy is a cruel joke with the educated unemployed youth. There are lakhs of educated unemployed youth in Jammu province but the government has no concrete policy to provide them job avenues, he claimed.
Under a new recruitment policy of J-K government, a fresh recruit would get only 50 per cent of basic pay for first two years and 75 per cent for next three years without any allowances.
If the government concentrates on developing the tourist spots in Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Bani, Basohli, Rajouri and Poonch it can generate employment for thousands of youth, Salathia claimed.
