New Delhi: All major parties welcomed the announcement of dates for Delhi Assembly elections and claimed they are ready for the battle. Delhi will vote in a single phase on February 7 and counting will take place three days later on February 10, according to the schedule announced by Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath on Monday.
Sampath said the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect in Delhi.

Sambit Patra, BJP: We welcome the announcement of the election dates. The BJP will form the government with majority
Shahnawaz Hussain, BJP: The BJP is ready to fight the elections. We welcome the dates.
Shiela Dikshit, Congress: Congress is very much there and it ruled Delhi for 15 years and it has very good track record. Workers are out in the filed and the response to meeting is very good
Sheila adds, "I'm not going to contest this election. There are good leaders, the young people have come up amd I welcome it. The AAP ran away from government. They made all promises but nothing happened. It was all misleading people, hope people are not misled. The track record is there."
Randeep Surjewala, Congress: The Congress welcomes the announcement of dates for Delhi Assembly Elections by the Election Commission of India.
JP Aggarwal, Congress: They should have announced the dates earlier but they have delayed under the pressure from BJP. We are fully prepared for elections, we are already doing meetings with people and are hopeful this time. We are very much in the fight, people have seen the true face of AAP and BJP.
Mahabal Mishra, Congress: Our preparation is on. We are ready there is no problem. Our workers are taking the message of the good work done by the Congress during its tenure.
Manish Sisodia, AAP: AAP is ready, we were waiting for this. I appeal to the people of Delhi to elect a government which can really control price rise and make Delhi corruption free.
Ashutosh, AAP: Delhi has been waiting for a long time. Since the dates have been announced we welcome that.
