Sachan case: Maya govt to get into a huddle

New Delhi: Under intense pressure and media scrutiny, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati will be holding a high-level meeting on Monday to chalk out a strategy to deal with the Sachan case.

The Uttar Pradesh police is also expected to file a status report on the probe against Lucknow CMO AK Shukla. Shukla is a prime accused in the National Rural Health Mission funds embezzlement case and is Dr Sachan's boss. The police had registered a case against him on April 7.

Meanwhile, the opposition Congress, is continuing its attack on the government for the deteriorating law and order situation. The party will also be meeting to discuss strategy on Sachan's death, the Bhatta-Parsaul agitation and the Lakhimpur-Kheri rape cases.
