Saddened by election results, says Sonia Gandhi during Rae Bareli visit
Speaking on daughter Priyanka Gandhi, the UPA Chairperson said that the former would continue to work for the party.

New Delhi: On her first ever visit to Lok Sabha constituency Rae Bareli after the elections, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday said that she was saddened by the public's mandate.

She, however, added that she would continue to lead from the front despite the party's deafening defeat in the elections.

Speaking on daughter Priyanka Gandhi, the UPA Chairperson said that the former would continue to work for the party.

Congress faced rout in the Lok Sabha elections as it has been reduced to just 44 MPs in the Lower House of Parliament.
