35. Sakti is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Jangir-Champa (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sakti falls in Janjgir-Champa district and North region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,96,588 voters in the seat, which includes 1,00,311 male voters, and 96,269 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Sakti recorded a voter turnout of 75.31%. In 2013 the turnout was 76.21%, and in 2008 it was 66.99%.
In 2013, Doctor Khilawan Sahu of BJP won the seat by a margin of 9,033 votes (6.64%). Doctor Khilawan Sahu secured 37.92% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 9,392 votes (8.4%), registering 42.37% of the total votes polled.
