211. Sanwer is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Indore Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sanwer falls in Indore district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,46,685 voters in the seat, which includes 1,27,495 male voters, and 1,19,180 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Sanwer recorded a voter turnout of 80.43%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.41%, and in 2008 it was 73.61%.
In 2013, Rajesh Sonkar of BJP won the seat by a margin of 17,583 votes (10.66%). Rajesh Sonkar secured 52.92% of the total votes polled.
