Dharmavaram: Two persons were killed and nearly 15 injured in a stampede during a roadshow by actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi at Dharmavaram here on Monday.
A large number of people gathered at the NTR Circle in the town and jostled to get a glimpse of the superstar who was addressing a public meeting, leading to the stampede, police said.
Tajuddin, 42, fainted and died while being taken to hospital, while one Adinarayan suffered fatal injuries, they said.
Fifteen others suffered minor injuries and were administered first aid.
It was the second day of Chiranjeevi's roadshow in Ryalsema after he launched his Praja Rajyam party on August 26.
