Apple Vision Pro Buyers Can Enjoy A 25-Minute In-Store Demo Before Purchase
Apple has made a detailed 25-minute sales demo for those interested in Vision Pro. Customers can visit Apple stores to see how the headset works before buying.

Apple’s Vision Pro mixed-reality headset is set to launch on February 2nd in the US, and is just weeks away at this point. Unlike typical iPhone or Mac launches, this event seems to require a significant effort from the company—both in terms of marketing and in facilitating a smoother buying experience for its customers.

Mark Gurman, in his PowerOn newsletter, points out that Apple really wants to nail the presentation of the Vision Pro headset, and in efforts on that end, the iPhone maker has put together a sophisticated 25-minute sales pitch and demo. For the same, Apple has trained hundreds of its employees in Cupertino this month to ensure they provide accurate information and understand the entire process.

Gurman also points out that US Apple Stores will have more than a dozen Vision Pro demo units. The demo will start with a retail employee using an app to scan a user’s face, similar to how FaceID is set up. This step ensures that the customer selects the right size for the Light Seal, foam cushion, and band sizes. The Light Seal comes in 25 different shapes and sizes, so it’s important to get the right fit.

And for people who wear prescription glasses, Apple will introduce a new device to scan the lenses to get their prescription details. Then, Apple Store employees will find the right lens from a selection of hundreds and put together the demo headset.

In addition to this, users must go through a calibration process before they can experience the demos. These demos include Spatial Photos, Spatial Video, 3D movies, and the ability to explore several preloaded third-party apps that showcase the headset’s capabilities. Gurman notes that these demos are designed to be “compelling but not exhausting,” so that people will be left “itching for more.”
