New Delhi: Facebook understands that it is not easy to move on after a relationship goes sour. With our real lives becoming more visible on the virtual sphere, it is quite obvious to find people sharing a lot about their partners on the social media.

To help people deal with the separation and get over the ex-stalking, Facebook is testing new tools to improve the experience on the social network when a relationship ends.

In its blog post, the social networking giant explains that when a user changes the relationship status after a break-up, they will be prompted to try out certain tools.

These tools include options such as seeing less of the partner's name, posts, or profile pictures, without having to block or unfriend them.

It further gives an option to have less of tag suggestions and limit on photos, videos or status updates that a former partner will see.

One can also edit who can see their past posts with a former partner and untag themselves from posts with that person.

These tools are currently being tested on the mobile app and will be introduced on a wider scale based on the feedback. All of these tools are optional, and people will be able to access them in the help center.

What's your reaction?
