The latest doodle is full of bright flowers and bees, symbolising the onset of Spring. In the Indian subcontinent, the festival is celebrated by Parsis, Kashmiris, and Shia Muslims.
To commemorate the occasion, houses are cleaned and painted afresh well in advance and adorned with auspicious symbols and special thanksgiving prayers are held as part of the religious ceremonies followed by wishing each other 'Sal Mubarak.'
