Google’s Gemini AI Likely To Feature In Buds Pro Earbuds Like ChatGPT: All Details
Google Assistant has been the default voice control for the company but now it is planning to replace it with Gemini AI.

Google’s Gemini AI could soon be incorporated with certain earbuds, as the company wants to incorporate the chatbot into new form factors outside the web and phones. This will allow customers to interact with the tech giant’s AI chatbot without the need for a paired smartphone. Google has been steadily building its in-house AI chatbot, and Gemini technologies are already integrated into the majority of the company’s apps.

The firm may now be looking to expand this integration to include additional gadgets. Furthermore, Google is reported to release the Pixel Buds Pro 2 alongside the Pixel 9 series later this month, which may be the first to feature the Gemini assistant. According to 9to5Google, Google may soon allow users to access Gemini directly from earphones that support Google Assistant.

After the company’s February smartphone AI assistant debut, it was reported that the “Gemini mobile app is working on expanding availability to make it accessible on your headphones.” In addition, evidence found on Google app version 15.31 shows how users can “Talk to Gemini on earbuds.”

The app includes the following code string: Your new AI assistant is using headphones.

While the latter emphasises that Gemini AI will be available on headphones, the former stresses the “bisto” form factor. Google used the moniker Bisto in 2017 to describe a kind of headphones that run Google Assistant.

“Buds” is mentioned several times in the strings, which could have important meaning given the impending release of the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Also, the report did not say whether or whether Gemini integration will be added to current headphones that enable Google Assistant, nor did it reveal the software features for this forthcoming wearable.

Google announced earlier this year that Gemini will be arriving on the Pixel Tablet. The current beta release also includes the following string: “Gemini is a new AI assistant for your tablet. Get assistance in learning new things, planning events, writing thank you cards, and more.” According to the report, “Some features, like Extensions, aren't available in Live yet.”
