LG has launched its latest flagship smartphone, LG V30+, as an Amazon India exclusive. The smartphone will be up for grabs starting December 18.

LG has launched its latest flagship smartphone LG V30+, as a successor to LG V30, today at an event in New Delhi. The LG V30+ was first unveiled at LG’s press conference at IFA 2017 in Berlin. Now launched in India, the LG V30+ is priced at Rs 44,990 and will be available exclusively on Amazon India, starting December 18. With this price tag, LG V30+ will be competing against flagship smartphones of other OEMs, like the Samsung Galaxy S8, Google Pixel 2 and OnePlus 5T. While the V30+ might look like an advanced version of V30, with most of the specifications of the devices =being the same, yet they differ in storage capacities. The V30 comes with a 64GB storage, while the V30+ is backed by a 128GB internal storage.

In terms of specifications, the LG V30+ sports a 6-inch 18:9 Quad HD+ OLED FullVision display with 2880x1440 resolution. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and carries a 4GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage and can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. The V30+ runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat with UI-UX 6.0+ on top. As for its optics, the LG V30+ features a dual camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel (f/1.6) primary lens and a 13-megapixel (f/1.9) 120-degree wide-angle lens. The selfie camera comes with a 5-megapixel (f/2.2) wide-angle lens. The smartphone is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support.

Additional features of the LG V30+ include Daydream compatibility, wireless charging support, IP 68 Water/ Dust resistance and MIL-STD-810G durability. The phone also features Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and rear. As per the company, the V30+ meets U.S. Department of Defense requirements for durability, having passed 14 categories of the MIL-STD 810G Transit Drop Test, making it compliant for military operations.

While the previous LG V series smartphones, like the LG V20 sported a secondary display at the top, the LG V30+ comes with a modified version of it, i.e. when the display is off, the AOD replaces the Second Screen by providing shortcuts to Quick Tools and Music Player without having to turn on the display. The optional semi-transparent Floating Bar can be customized with up to five apps for easy access to the most used applications. When not needed, the Floating Bar can be dragged off to the side so it doesn’t take up any screen space.
