New Delhi: Adding a new device to its accessories portfolio, Micromax's new subsidiary brand Yu has launched a new power bank. Named JYUice, the power bank comes in two variants - 5000 mAh for Rs 699 and 10,000 mAh for Rs 1,099. They are available on Snapdeal.com.
According to the company, the 5000 mAh model can charge a smartphone (with a 2000 mah battery) to full up to 2.3 times, while the 10000 mAh model can do it 4.6 times. The former has one USB out, while the latter comes with two USB ports to let you charge two devices at a time.
They feature an LED flash that alerts users about the battery status. It flashes the green light if the battery is over 70 per cent, yellow if it's between 30 per cent and 70 per cent, and red when it has less than 30 per cent of the juice left.
The new power banks has an aluminium alloy shell, which the company claims helps repel any form of degeneration, corrosion or rusting. Its round edges and a thin profile make it comfortable to hold and carry along, says Yu.
The competitive pricing of the power banks puts them head-to-head with rivals including Xiaomi, Honor, Asus, and OnePlus, but its slim profile and ergonomic form factor are what could give them an edge here.
