After introducing its Buyable Pins over the summer, Pinterest has announced the feature will now be available to Android users in the US, and that a new Pinterest Shop will follow in the weeks to come.
Previously available for iOS only, Buyable Pins offer a way to purchase items without leaving the app. The company says it offers more than 60 million Buyable Pins, and they are rolling out to US Android users beginning on Tuesday.
Pinterest says buyable items will have a blue pin displaying their price. Users will be able to search for similar items based on color and price.
In the weeks to come, and in time for holiday gift-buying, both iOS and Android users will get access to the new Pinterest Shop, which will feature items hand-picked by the Pinterest team. To find it, tap the explore icon, then tap "Shop."
