The News18 Tech And Auto Awards 2018 saw the crowning of the HP Spectre x360 as the top Computing Device of the Year. The Spectre x360 won the award facing stiff competition from the likes of the latest generation Apple MacBook Pro 15, the Microsoft Surface Book 2, the new Dell XPS 13 and the MSI GF63 8RD gaming laptop.
The computing device space has seen a variety of form factors co-exist for a while now. You have the conventional laptops, the slim and light laptops, convertibles that can be detached from the keyboard base to use as a tablet, gaming laptops and hybrid computing devices. While they may look and behave differently, the mission is the same.
The HP Spectre x360 has a 13.3-inch display with just 3.95mm narrow bezels around it. This display has 8 million pixels in it. HP has used the Corning Gorilla Glass layer to give an added layer of protection for the display. This screen is also compatible with the HP Pen, which is essentially a stylus that lets you write, draw, scribble and annotate on the display itself.
The HP Spectre x360, as the name suggests is a convertible which can be used as a laptop, a tent, display only or tablet modes. HP has packed these in with the 8th generation Intel Core processors, with very fast SSD storage options up to 512GB and up to 16GB of RAM. This is also one of the few laptops that has a fingerprint sensor, for additional layer of security for your data. The speakers of the Spectre x360 have been tuned by Danish audio companu Bang & Olufsen.
