New Delhi: How many of us actually use a pen to take notes these days? We have almost forgotten to write with a physical pen in a smartphone-obsessed age. But, Jake Weidmann, a master penman, has spent years learning and excelling the art of beautiful handwriting and craftsmanship to earn his living today. There are only 12 master penmen in the entire world and Weidmann is the youngest by three decades to be titled so.

In times when everything is digital, Weidmann is working towards preserving the fading art form of calligraphy and craftsmanship. A member of the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH), Weidmann perfected his handwriting over years and today, he blends calligraphy into his artwork. Some of his work takes more than a year to create. Watch Weidmann talk about his journey and how nature inspires him to create beautiful artwork.
