Shilpa Agnihotri On Embracing Motherhood: 'Most Fulfilling One And A Half Years Of My Life'

Renowned TV actor Shilpa Agnihotri is currently embracing the most beautiful phase of her life, motherhood. Shilpa and her husband Apurva in the year 2022 embraced parenthood through adoption after almost 18 years of their marriage. The duo are doting parents to a baby girl, Ishani (Ishu) with whom they frequently share their cute pictures and videos on social media. Recently, during an interaction with ETimes TV, Shilpa, who is known for portraying the role of Kaikeyi in Srimad Ramayan opened up about embracing motherhood and how her life changed after welcoming daughter Ishaani.

She said, “There are many myths about motherhood. People used to tell me you’ll have a very difficult time when your baby won’t sleep. You should raise your baby like this, like that. For me, it has been the most fulfilling one and a half years where everyone around me were scared and would tell me you’re going to pass out one day just take rest and I would think, I don’t need that. I told Apurva that it seems as if she (Ishani) has injected some superhuman serum in me where I never felt the need to rest.”

She added, “I was buzzing with happiness, excitement and joy of having her in my arms. Apurva and I have been living a 10/10 live and we would always and think how would it get better because we had clocked perfection. Then Ishaani came, the biggest miracle of our life.”

Apurva and Shilpa tied the knot in the year 2004 after dating for some time.

Recently, on Apurva’s birthday, Shilpa shared an adorable video of her husband with her daughter and penned down a heartfelt note. She wrote, “Took a good 20 years for me to experience this moment but today when I do, I feel like I couldn’t be happier, fuller and more content. Thank you honey for being my guy for 20 years. My husband, my bestie my partner in cime, my go to guy, my absolute everything and most importantly mere Ishu ke dada. Happyyyyyy birthday honeyyyyyy. Here’s to a 100 more together. I Louuuuuuuuuu you.”

Shilpa has also appeared in popular TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi and in Salman Khan’s popular TV reality show Bigg Boss 7.
