The socially resonant drama ‘Doree’ has gripped audiences with its power-packed storytelling ever since its premiere. It has now been reported that the show has completed 100 episodes. On Wednesday, Sudhaa Chandran shared the same and expressed gratitude towards viewers. She thanked everyone for “embracing” her as Kailashi Devi Thakur in Doree and hoped that the show would continue to perform well.

“I’m delighted to do what I love through Doree. It makes me very proud to be a part of this show that has arrived at its 100th episode. I thank the viewers for embracing me as Kailashi Devi. Working with talented and experienced actors who are dedicated to entertaining the audience is really rewarding. I believe the channel has been able to bring attention to certain lingering social taboos, acknowledging that there is still a long journey ahead. This show not only resonates with the audience but has also been remarkably well-received,” she said.

Amar Upadhyay, who plays the role of Ganga Prasad in the show also added, “As we celebrate Doree arriving at its 100th episode, I want to thank everyone who has supported the show. A big shoutout to the creators who worked hard and motivated all of us to enliven an exceptional story. I am extremely excited to be seen essaying all new avatar in the show and the viewers are in for a dramatic treat.”

Sharing her experience of being on the show for 100 episodes, Mahi Bhanushali shared, “Doree is very special to me and I’m grateful that I got a chance to work with such amazing actors who taught me a lot of things. I thank the viewers for showering their love to the show and to my character.”

Doree revolves around a six-year-old girl fighting against a patriarchal society for her rights. It stars Amar Upadhyay as Ganga Prasad, Sudhaa Chandran as Kailashi Devi Thakur, and child actor Mahi Bhanushali as Doree.

In the current story track, Doree is trying to collect evidence from Anand to prove that Kailashi Devi is the one who has killed her Baba. In a turn of events, Doree notices a hurt dog at the ghat and helps him before searching for Maai. Later, Maai reveals herself as Kailashi Devi and destroys Doree’s phone.

Doree airs on Colors TV.
