Amitabh Bachchan is back with yet another season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Taking over his role as the host for KBC 16, the Bollywood superstar got nostalgic in the recent episode as he reminisced about his younger days, his college times, and even his love story with Jaya Bachchan. While interacting with Delhi’s Kajol Ved in the latest episode, the actor couldn’t help but speak about his “jawani ka zamana.” He also revealed that he spent a lot of time in Delhi’s popular areas like Sarojini Market, Chandni Chowk and Bengali Market.
It all began when Big B asked Kajol about how she would spend the money from superhero Dhanrashi, to which the latter said that she prefers markets over malls. As the actor went on to share that he had spent a lot of time at those places, Kajol asked him, “Main wahi aapse puchne wali thi. Aap South campus aate the kya (I was about to ask you. Would you visit the south campus often)?”
To this, Bachchan remarked, “Devi Ji kya hai, ab hum shaadi shuda ho gaye hai. Naati pota bhi ho gaye hai. Woh zamana jo tha, woh jawani ka zamana tha. Usk baare mei kya bataye hum? Batane se humara pura poll jo hai woh khul jayega (Now I am married. I have grandchildren. Those were the younger times. What should I tell you about that? My secrets will be out if I speak).”
Upon being pressed, Big B shared that he used to study and go to Sarojini Market but never bargained. Besides, he said that he would go to Miranda House to have fun before walking to his college. During this conversation, the host and the contestant also got into some other fun conversations.
Kajol, who is a business analyst by profession, went on to ask the actor, “What did you call Jaya ma’am before marriage?” to which he said, “I used to call her by what her name was.” He also shared that they had a mutual group where he would meet his wife and also go out together. Their love story began when he and his squad decided to do something special if their film, Zanjeer, became a hit.
