Millions of children around the world dream to be exactly like their favourite characters which include superheroes like Disney princesses, cartoons and a lot more. This young woman in the US is living that dream; being dressed up as her favourite Disney princess, and even getting paid for it.

As per reports, 27-year-old Maya Browne from Los Angeles wanted to be a Disney princess since she was in high school. Whenever she got the chance, for example during her non-uniform school days, she dressed up as her favourite Disney characters which were Ariel, the Madhatter and Moana.

Soon enough, she became a regular at cosplay conventions and started to use body paint on herself for her cosplays, sharing her looks on her social media handles. Later, she decided to find work as a Disney princess performer.

Finally, in February 2022, she got the offer to host parties for children dressed up as the characters of the superhit animated film Encanto- Mirabel and Isabela. Describing her job as “the best,” Maya now hosts two parties in one day, dressed up as a Disney princess. The real-life princess stated that she has always been a fan of Disney and felt a connection with the characters. She continued, “I just get to be a big kid as a job – I go to parties dressed up, hang out with the kids, play games, story time, birthday cakes, take pictures,” and revealed further that she gets paid $100-an-hour (Rs 8,000).

It was during the Los Angeles Comic Con 2021 when Maya Browne decided to have a career in cosplaying and princess performing. Through a mutual friend from TikTok, she got to experience the event for three days, where she learned a lot about her work, Maya added.

Talking about her experience as a princess cosplayer, she added that it’s fun work and makes her feel special, especially for those kids who might not be able to visit Disneyland. She stated, “When I see their faces and they hug me and don’t want to let go – it’s so special.”
