Former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates has certainly been enjoying his trip to India. The tech billionaire has visited the country to attend the pre-wedding festivities of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The lavish three-day affair, which began on Saturday, is underway in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Gates is one of the foreign guests, who have been invited to be part of the event. Upon touching down in India, Gates whipped up a storm on social media for his light-heated interaction with Dolly Chaiwala, a popular tea seller who runs a roadside stall on the Ravindra Nath Tagore Marg in Nagpur.

The video took no time to become viral and now, Amul Topical has come up with a comic illustration featuring Bill Gates and Dolly Chaiwala. A text on the image reads, “Chaicrosoft. Amul– Gatesway To Taste.”

Despite being inspired by the real story, the graphic had a twist. In the animated representation, Dolly Chaiwala was seen serving two slices of bread with Amul butter to Gates while holding a glass of tea in his other hand.

After the illustration surfaced on the Meta platform, many users expressed appreciation for the marketing team of Amul India, referring to its creativity and knowledge about recent social-media trends.

One of them was quick to label the post as a “brilliant marketing gem”. Another user dropped a pun-infused comment as he simply wrote, “Tea-rrific.” An individual found the concept “mind-blowing”. “Amul India, your team is truly brilliant,” commented a user.

The video was first shared by none other than Bill Gates on Instagram. The clip opens with Gates, who was heard saying in a desi accent, “One chai, please.” The following frames feature Dolly Chaiwala manoeuvering milk and other ingredients to prepare a steaming cup of tea. Gates captioned the post, “In India, you can find innovation everywhere you turn—even in the preparation of a simple cup of tea!”

Dolly Chaiwala has been a popular social media figure for quite some time. He initially became viral for his unique procedure and serving skills. The Hyderabad-based tea seller regularly posts reels and videos on his Instagram handle.
