Recently, Bihar’s Annapurna Singh, who secured AIR 99 in UPSC 2023 Results took to Instagram to share how she was welcomed by her family and friends at her home after the declaration of the result. The rank holder documents the heartwarming moment and named it ‘Homecoming.’ The inspirational video is full of some photos and short clips featuring how Annapurna Singh’s life was changed.

As the video progresses, the rank holder can be seen getting a warm welcome from her family and friends with garlands and a shower of petals at her home. The clip also featured an image of Annapurna Singh with her parents in the office. The UPSC rank holder Annapurna Singh visited schools and interacted with students. The video also included a short clip of how students welcomed her to their school.
Annapurna Singh shared this homecoming video on her Instagram account named @annapurnasingh99. Sharing the video, she wrote a long caption describing how every celebration post UPSC 2023 Results holds a special place in her heart. She wrote, “I still wonder how one name in the PDF can change one’s life for the better with a greater sense of purpose. Documenting this as ‘Homecoming’ after that has been personally very special.” She added, “It is about returning victorious to the place and people who held you when you hit rock bottom. It is about the smiles around you that make all the past struggles look small.”
Describing her favourite celebration, she wrote, “My most favourite part about all the celebrations were the school visits and interaction with the children about their aspirations, suggestions, and whatnot. I enjoyed all the love at my village too, and of course the relief in my parent’s eyes after years of sacrifice and isolation.” She also stated, “I do not feel that I have done anything till now so great to be deserving this much love and respect but I am sure to work harder than I ever have and become worthy of it all.” The UPSC rank holder concluded the post and wrote, “Grateful for all the blessings showered upon me. I shall serve our nation and its children with all my heart.”
