This is one of those brainers where you realise how simple it is, once you know the answer; but can still leave you boggled for a very long time, before you finally get it, particularly if you are not aware of what you are looking at. The puzzle consists of a series of numbers separated by lines with one missing space, asking you to fill in the missing space. The sequence of numbers appears to be linear with 1, 2 and 3, and 4 placed vertically to each other separated by a line. There is no matching number with 5 and the missing space has to be filled in 10 seconds.

The answer that comes to us instinctively is 6 as it matches with the previous sequences; but let us tell you here that the answer is not 6. So, what could it be? To make things easier for you, let us allow you to use a hint. You need this sequence in vehicles. If it is still not a dead giveaway, let us give you the answer. The answer will be the letter R. The image represents the characters on a four wheeler vehicle’s gear. If you have ever been in the driving seat of a four wheeler, you will be well versed with the sequence of numbers on the gear. The first, second, third, fourth and fifth gear are engraved on the gear in a similar pattern, with R (or reverse gear) being engraved in the last empty space.
