Can 750 Eggs A Week Harm You? Harvard Student's Experiment Shows Surprising Results
In his YouTube video, he mentioned consuming around 133,200 milligrams of cholesterol in more than a month.

Doctors often prescribe to consume eggs but sometimes eating too many eggs can harm a human being. People can have different opinions regarding this. In a recent development, a university student experimented to see what happens to a person if he/she consumes too many eggs. The person reportedly consumes around 750 eggs in a week. He conducted blood tests to see the effects of consuming so many eggs. The result left everyone surprised. Let us know about this interesting story in this article.

Several studies have earlier revealed that consuming too many eggs can significantly increase the cholesterol levels which often leads to heart disease. To test that, Nick Norwitz, an MD student at Harvard University, consumed around 720 eggs. He maintained an average of 1 egg in an hour. He anticipated that by doing the test his LDL (low-density lipoprotein) which is known by the name bad cholesterol would rise significantly. But, this was not the case.

In his YouTube video, Nick mentioned that he consumed around 133,200 milligrams of cholesterol in more than a month. Surprisingly, his LDL level dipped by 2 per cent in the first two weeks of maintaining this egg diet. In the final two weeks, his LDL level decreased significantly by 18 per cent. As per media reports, Nick’s LDL levels were around 90 mg per decimeter before he started this experiment.

The Harvard student further mentioned that in the last two weeks, he decided to add some nutritious food items to his diet. He included fruits like blueberries, bananas and strawberries. “The extra dose of carbs dominated over the insane amounts of cholesterol I was consuming," he mentioned in his video. Adding to it, Nick said that he was also consuming 75 grams of saturated fat and around 5,000 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day. The American Heart Association recommends no more than 6 per cent of saturated fat should be consumed.
