In a scene reminiscent of a disaster movie, torrential rain in Greater Noida wreaked havoc, transforming fire extinguishers inside a high-end locality into unexpected fountains. The heavy downpour led to rainwater seeping into flats, causing fire extinguishers to spray water throughout an entire house. This bizarre and unprecedented situation left residents in shock as they watched their homes turn into impromptu water parks.

A video from the aftermath was shared by NDTV, showcasing the waterfall-like situation at the Act Platinum Society. The footage captures water gushing out of fire extinguishers, flooding the residence in every direction. The chaos didn’t stop there, as the video also showed water flowing out from an air conditioner, adding to the already dire scene. The dramatic event was caught on camera and quickly spread across the internet. Social media platforms were flooded with comments and shares, as people couldn’t believe the unusual spectacle unfolding before their eyes.

Even videos from other waterlogged areas flooded the internet.

Meanwhile, the Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) wasn’t spared from the deluge, with key roads and low-lying areas submerged after heavy rains lashed the city on Wednesday evening. Traffic came to a standstill, and normal life was severely disrupted. Ten flights were diverted from Delhi due to the adverse weather conditions.

In response to the severe weather, the Delhi government announced the closure of all schools on Thursday. Major roads, including the Delhi-Noida Expressway and Mathura Road, as well as crucial areas like ITO, AIIMS, Pragati Maidan, Kashmere Gate, and Sarai Kale Khan, saw long queues of vehicles, leaving commuters stranded for hours.
