Big B has been associated with KBC since its first season, but the makers roped in superstar Shah Rukh Khan to host its third season.

The popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has a special place in fans’ hearts. First aired in 2000, the game show became an instant hit due to its engaging format and megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s incredible hosting. Big B has been associated with KBC since its first season, but in 2007, the makers roped in superstar Shah Rukh Khan to host its third season. During that season, SRK had memorable encounter with several contestants.

Recalling one such moment when SRK lost his mind due to a confused contestant which drove the actor to cry in mock irritation and he said “pagal ho gya main.” In the third season of KBC, a contestant named Vikas got stumped by a question about the Indian history that “Who founded the Lodi Dynasty in 151” and SRK gave him the options “A. Ibrahim Lodi B. Bahlol Lodi, C. Sikander Lodi, D. Daulat Khan Lodi.”

To answer the question, Vikas first chose the Phone-a-Friend lifeline, and his friend who at first confidently declared the answer as Sikander Lodi, changed his response it at the very last second to Ibrahim Lodi, which left Vikas bewildered.

Amused SRK with the friend’s response, he slipped into Punjabi and asked Vikas “Ye kis prakaar ka dost hai..kehta hai pehle Sikander Lodi confirmed hai, fir jaate jaate kehta hai Ibrahim Lodi. Achcha Dost Hai?”

Vikas, then left in a tough situation, asked SRK to ‘freeze’ Sikander Lodi as his final answer, but when the actor asked him if her was sure, he changed his mind to Daulat Khan Lodi and then back to Sikander Lodi, which left SRK in mock irritation and the audience laughed out loud.

The Don actor even jokingly pretended to cry and said, “pagal ho gaya main..bataade yaar…tu bataa de merko yaar. Main nahi khelunga.”

However, the contestant, after a lot of confusion, locked Sikander Lodi as his answer which turned out to be incorrect, as the right answer was Bahlol Lodi. Vikas then left with Rs 6,40,000.
