Snakes have a bad reputation for being stealthy. These eerie animals are also capable of sneaking into the most difficult situations and skillfully hiding themselves. In a similar incident, a python was caught curled around the scooter’s fuel tank.
The video was uploaded to Instagram under the username Salihkt Mullambath. Soon after going viral, the clip elicited strong reactions, with the majority finding the encounter terrifying.
Meanwhile, the incident’s date and location have not been confirmed, but it looks like the video is from somewhere in Kerala. The people in the background are speaking Malayalam.
As the video opens, it shows some people attempting to lift a scooter’s seat using an object that resembled a long scale or a branch of a tree. It was later found that precautions were taken to keep a safe distance from a python wrapped around the scooter’s petrol tank.

Shared on Instagram weeks back, the video has collected more than 7 million views. People on the internet were filled with fright and described the experience as dangerous, while others laughed about it. Some people also noted that the snake was not venomous.
A user said, “Certified Python Baby”.
While another termed it, “New Fear Unlocked”.
“The dots on the viper’s body will be diamond shaped… this is not a viper, it periyaPaamb alias python,” commented a user on Instagram.
“Petrol tank security,” said another.
In May, a similar incident drew notice in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, when a snake was discovered hiding under a scooter’s front light.
In the video, it looked like the rider was about to leave when he was drawn to the snake’s tail dangling outside. He quickly called a snake rescuer, who grasped the snake’s tail and then attempted to remove the scooter’s light panel with an iron rod.
The snake seemed to have hidden due to fear. The snake charmer was determined to take it out and it turned out to be a Cobra, one of the most deadly snakes ever.
